The PARA-PUMP BOOSTER SYSTEM™ (PBS01 Series) is a high-performance water pressure booster system engineered to deliver consistent, reliable pressure for the operation of filter backwash valves. Designed for use with clean, filtered water — or directly from a supply source — the PBS ensures your filtration system performs efficiently during critical backwash cycles.

Built specifically for intermittent backwash operation, the PBS01 activates only when needed, reducing energy use while maintaining optimal valve actuation pressure. This makes it an ideal solution for commercial pools, aquatic facilities, water treatment systems, and industrial filtration applications.

How the PBS01 Booster System Works

During a filter system backwash cycle, the PBS01 automatically supplies the additional water pressure required for proper valve function. A factory-preset pressure switch allows the unit to operate on an as-needed basis, shutting off once target pressure is reached.

Activation can be configured in two ways:

• Manual Operation – Using a field-supplied on/off switch

• Automatic Operation – Through a Stark Automatic Controller (requires a 24 VAC N/O relay, supplied by others)

This smart control design ensures dependable performance without continuous pump operation.

  • Pressure switch factory calibrated for 35 PSI shut-off

  • Designed for intermittent duty (Part B4301)

• Hydropneumatic Pressure Tank (B4302)

• Check Valve Assembly (B4303)

• Tee Assembly (B4304)

• 100 ft of 3/8" Tubing with all required fittings for connection to the filter system

• Anchoring Hardware Kit

  • (2) 3/8" x 2-1/2" Lag Bolts

  • (2) 3/8" Flat Washers

  • (2) Anchor Shields
