CPO® Certified Operator Training
We are happy to provide pool operator training. The CPO® Certified Operator Training is presented by the National Swimming Pool Foundation dedicated to the educational success of 100’s of new students each year.
There are currently two methods by which you may earn your CPO® Certification:
1. 2-Day Classroom CPO® Certification Course
2. CPO® Certification Blended Training - Pool Operator PrimerTM plus Pool Operator FusionTM
You may attend our next Full Two-Day Class or select the Online PrimerTM and FusionTM described below.
Pool Operator Primer
This dynamic program for pool operators, service technicians, facility managers and environmental health officials is a great stand-alone online training program or it can be the first step towards earning your Certified Pool/Spa Operator® (CPO®) certification. The eight-lesson, self-paced curriculum covers the material found in the 18 chapters of the NSPF®Pool & Spa OperatorTMHandbook, which is included with the course. Understanding fundamentals of pool and spa operation and safety reduces risk, decreases liability, and creates value for your customers.
The online course includes interactive learning tools throughout, such as video demonstrations and knowledge quizzes at the end of each lesson to help with information retention. Successful completion of all eight lessons earns a Record of Completion. Students have access to the online course for 6 months, which provides an opportunity to review the material many times. This great program brings the training to the office, home office, or wherever you need it, when you need it. The system will keep track of your progress as you move along through your training. You cannot move to the next chapter until you pass the previous chapter. Once you have passed all eight practice tests the system will print out a certificate. You may use this certificate and its serial number to take your CPO® exam.
Pool Operator Fusion
Designed as the second part of the Certified Pool/Spa Operator® (CPO®) training. The FusionTM portion of the CPO® program will allow students who have passed the Pool Operator PrimerTM to take their exam. The testing may be a normal second day of classroom training or the instructor has scheduled the FusionTM for student testing only. In any case there will be a material review prior to the testing. This is an open book test. Bring your pencils and calculators.
A CPO® Certification provides individuals with the basic knowledge, techniques, and skills of pool and spa operations. This training has helped protect millions of swimmers by reducing hazards at aquatic facilities. The NSPF®Certified Pool/Spa Operator®(CPO®) Certification program, the world’s leading verifiable pool and spa training credential, is available as a blended training program.
The CPO® Certification program requires participation in either a two- day in-person class (14-16 hours) taught by a certified instructor or the blended format that combines the online Pool Operator PrimerTM and one day of the Pool Operator FusionTM in-person class of instruction. An open book written examination is required.
This two-day class covers 14-16 hours of information from the NSPF®Pool & Spa OperatorTMHandbook and local codes taught by a certified NSPF®Instructor. This dynamic setting offers direct interaction with an instructor and fellow students. Pass the open book exam and earn CPO® certification.
