Non-Chlorine Shock and Oxidizer
The Advanced Oxygen Shock
No-Chlor is a non-chlorine oxidant (shock treatment). This product oxidizes organic materials in pool water and allows swimming immediately after use. Treatment with No-Chlor on a regular weekly basis improves the efficiency of sanitizing chemicals such as chlorine and bromine by oxidizing and eliminating contaminate waste, and restores sparkle and clarity to pool water.
NOT YOUR AVERAGE SHOCK TREATMENT.
- Versatile – Can be used with chlorine and bromine based sanitizers.
- Super-fast formula – Quickly dissolves to resume swimming in as little as 15 minutes.
- No foaming or clouding – The water stays clear as it gets treated.
- Safe – Will not fade vinyl liners or bathing suits.
- Odor control – Is odorless and will not form irritating chloramine odors.
- Prevention – Oxidizes chloramine causing organics with no problem byproducts.
- Easy application – Can be broadcast over the pool surface with no pre-mixing.
SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE
No-Chlor contains potassium monopersulfate that provides superior performance in swimming pools without the drawbacks that often accompany traditional chlorine shocking. Chlorine shock treatments must raise the chlorine level 10 times over the level of combined chlorine before any chloramines are eliminated. This procedure is called “break point” and still might not eliminate all the chloramines in the water. A level of 10ppm (parts per million) chlorine for 4 hours is recommended with conventional shock treatments. High levels of chlorine can bleach vinyl liners, fade bathing suits and are harsh on filtering equipment.
No-Chlor helps to eliminate the organics that cause chloramines in the first place. When used regularly there isn’t a need to reach "break point." No-Chlor is dose dependent, therefore, small amounts will eliminate small amounts of organics and larger amounts will eliminate larger amounts or all target organics.
EASY TO USE
With filter pump operating, broadcast No-Chlor uniformly over the surface of the pool water to ensure complete mixing and good circulation. Remove swimmers from pool during treatment. Swimmers may re-enter the water 15 minutes after treatment.
RESIDENTIAL SWIMMING POOLS: For initial treatment of pools with moderate daily use, add two (2) pounds of No-Chlor per 10,000 gallons of pool water. For maintenance treatment, add one (1) pound per 10,000 gallons weekly. More frequent and/or heavier doses may be required when bather loads are extremely heavy or following heavy rains or high winds.
COMMERCIAL/PUBLIC SWIMMING POOLS: Commercial/public pools generally require heavier doses of this product than residential pools due to heavier bather loads. Begin by adding two (2) pounds of this product per 10,000 gallons of pool water. Thereafter, the dose required and the shock frequency will depend largely on the bather load.
FOR SPAS: For spas using bromine (BCDMH or BBDMH) tablets as a sanitizer or sodium bromide as a source of bromine, this product acts as both a shock treatment to oxidize bather waste and other organic contaminants and to generate bromine sanitizer by oxidation of bromide ion. In general, spas require higher doses of this product than swimming pools. Add four (4) ounces of this product per 1000 gallons of spa water to immediately oxidize and eliminate organic contaminants introduced by bathers. Add one (1) ounce per 500 gallons every week to maintain low contaminants. Public spas that are used every day may need treatment on a daily basis.
